AMBER YOUNGBLOOD Senior Director of Communications for the Red Cross Kentucky Region, serving Southern Indiana and Kentucky SOUTHERN INDIANA is where I live. Having moved back to Madison several years ago, I didn't realize how much I missed and appreciated living in a truly quaint historical "river town." Madison, as well as many other Southern Indiana towns, has established itself in a way that boasts several unique festivals and events throughout the year, and provides a place as an affordable launching pad for people with an entrepreneurial spirit. YOU NEED TO KNOW THE RED CROSS responds 24/7 to disasters big and small. On average, the Red Cross responds to over 25 home fres each month throughout Kentuckiana. While these may not get the big media attention that large scale disasters do, Red Cross disaster volunteers are there to work with a family who have lost everything they own, ensuring they have food, clothing, shelter, emotional support and other immediate needs. ATTENDING WRAPPED IN RED is a great way to party with a purpose. Proceeds of the gala beneft our disaster services and programs throughout Kentuckiana. ERIN HALL RASINEN 2015 Wrapped in Red Gala Vice Chair SOUTHERN INDIANA is always going to be my frst hometown. Having lived there for the frst ten years of my life, I have so many fond memories of the city. I come from a huge New Albany family (my dad is one of 11), so we still spend a lot of time there. I'm proud to say I'm from there, and even prouder of what's happening now with the revitalization of the city, especially the downtown. YOU NEED TO KNOW THE RED CROSS is congressionally mandated to respond to every disaster, every time, yet receives no congressional appropriation to do so. Volunteers make the organization thrive and there are so many ways to get involved. Many people think of donating blood as the best way, but that's not for everyone. Become trained in First Aid and CPR, volunteer in Disaster Services, donate fnancially if you can, send your child through a Babysitting CPR course. This is OUR Red Cross. Let's all fgure out a way to get involved and make a difference. ATTENDING WRAPPED IN RED will give you a fun, enjoyable night out and make a huge impact to a local organization at the same time. You'll hear about the great impact the Red Cross is making in our community, and you will feel warm inside about being part of that positive impact. MARIA TRIPLETT 2015 Wrapped in Red Gala Chair and Louisville Area Chapter Board Member SOUTHERN INDIANA is where I work and reside with my husband Steve and our dog Harris. Having lived in New Albany since 1979, Southern Indiana holds many fond memories for me and my family. YOU NEED TO KNOW THE RED CROSS is comprised of donors, volunteers and employees who aid so many people in the community through not only blood services and disaster relief, but also support to military families and health and safety education. ATTENDING WRAPPED IN RED is something I look forward to sharing with my friends every year. Each gala is elegant yet unique and continues to grow in popularity from one year to the next. 63 (888) 581-8733 greentreerealestate.com 2784 Meijer Rd.
